Just a quick update. Trixie spent a couple weeks in the shop getting all dried out, carpets cleaned, and enzyme treatments applied. I also changed all the fluids (transmission, differential, oil and filter, coolant, etc.) All seems fine now. Yay! It is great to have Trixie back, and w

First, we hear that GM is having problems and cutting back. Now, about a month later, we hear the same or worse news from Ford. Huge cuts and changes affecting tens to hundreds of thousands of employees. I feel very bad for these folks. While in my field, IS/IT, jobs can be had just a

Dampened Holiday Spirits

Well Christmas and the Holiday season were going nicely this year… busy but I got some actual time off and I was really enjoying that. I’m certainly behind in my posting and editing the Intelligent Design article I had planned. But, 2005 went out in a bit of a wild way her

Galileo’s Telescope: The Sequel?

There has been a lot of debate recently on ‘science’ vs. Intelligent Design. I’ve been following all this quite a bit as both an ‘amateur scientist’ and ‘amateur theologian’. I wrote this essay for a class, so I thought I would throw it up her

Pacific Northwest Tour part two

Posted By Steve Wilkinson/

Thought I’d do a quick post to fill in a few details I missed on part one. We really had a lot of fun in the Vancouver area. The suspension bridge and forest hiking was at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It was a cool place, but a bit pricey. I suppose I would recommend it to fi

We’re taking in a nice vacation and tour of the Pacific Northwest. I thought I’d post a few pics for those who might be tuning in. We have hit some rain along the way, which is not really out of character for this time of the year. But, we have been very fortunate to also

Frivolous, schmivolous… want to make a buck?… or maybe 300 million?

OK, so we have heard about some pretty wacky lawsuits over the years. It seems like there are a never ending supply of stupid (ops… I mean common sense and ethically challenged) people looking to make some free cash at someone else’s expense. You know what I’m talkin
